A single-sided air shower is a specialized device designed to remove surface contaminants from personnel or materials entering a cleanroom. During operation, a fan draws in air, which passes through a pre-filter into a static pressure plenum. After subsequently passing through a High-Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filter, the purified air is expelled at high velocity—reaching an ultra-strong airflow speed of 23–27 m/s—through adjustable nozzles located within the chamber. This powerful airflow effectively blasts away dust and particles adhering to the surfaces of individuals or their carried items; the dislodged contaminants are then drawn back into the pre-filter, thereby completing a continuous cycle that achieves the objective of air-shower dust removal.
